About

Berit, the new operator, is a cook with over 35 years of experience in the industry. The last couple of years she worked as a line cook at the “Calories” in Saskatoon, but she always wanted to have her own restaurant again. Berit would like to run it the way she used to do this in Germany - before she and her husband immigrated to Saskatchewan in August 2009 - with home style cooking of some typical German and European meals.

The menu will also show some of the common dishes as well, but Berit really hopes, that her new guests will try out the "little different food" from now on. 

She is looking forward to provide her clientele with meals that are prepared like her grandma used to cook. Berit and her little team want to show you the nice and ongoing hospitality and friendly service with a smile that she is used to from European restaurants.

  
"The Homestead Restaurant" will not be a "Fast Food Restaurant", as everything is made from scratch, with fresh ingredients and a lot of love
(If you would like something special and Berit has the ingredients and the time, she might be able to prepare it for you, feel free to ask...)

And, in addition to the standard menu, there will be daily specials, only written on the blackboard in the restaurant, depending on the seasonal and always fresh ingredients that she will get from her local suppliers.
